Specifying the number of search results on the hit list
You can choose how many results appear on each page of the hit list. This allows you to make the list as short or long as you want.
Shorter lists mean less scrolling for users, but may mean more clicking to get to subsequent results. Longer lists mean more scrolling, but less clicking through to subsequent result sets.
To specify the number of search results on the hit list
1 | Log in and go to the Admin console. |
2 | If necessary, you can change the environment at which you want to make changes by selecting the appropriate level from the Environment drop-down list. |
3 | Select the Catalog Hit List link. |
4 | Complete the fields, as necessary. |
The variable that controls the number of results is Number of Search Hits.
(For instructions, see Fields: Catalog Hit List.)
5 | Choose Save to save all your changes. |
